Social entrepreneurs

  • Print

Social entrepreneurship is primarily driven by motivations other than financial gain. Social entrepreneurs operate in the private, public and voluntary sectors.

Some people work in established companies, while others are in the process of starting up their own business.

An example of such a business is the street magazine =Oslo; other major cities also have similar projects.

When social entrepreneurial ventures are run by non-profit groups or voluntary organisations, the regulations that concern such groups and organisations must be applied.
