All forms of organisations must be registered with the Brønnøysund Register Centre. Organisations register using the Coordinated register notification form in Altinn.

Sole proprietorships

If you set up a sole proprietorship, you must register it in the Register of Legal Entities. You will be sent a register extract once the registration process is complete.

Sole proprietorships are also entitled to register in the Register of Legal Enterprises.

  • If a sole proprietorship has at least five employees or runs a commodities business, it must be registered in the Register of Legal Entities.
  • Once the proprietorship has been registered, you will receive a certificate of incorporation.
  • The company must be registered in the i Register of Legal Entities. You will be sent a certification of incorporation once the registration process is complete.
  • To register, you should use the Coordinated register notification form in Altinn. This form should also be used in the event of subsequent changes, e.g. a change in address or bank account.
