Fill in the forms below and send them jointly to your local tax office. We recommend that you do this well in advance but no more than four months before the wedding. This is because the documents are only valid for a limited period of time. The procedure normally takes at least two to three weeks. Personal declaration – you must fill in separate declarations Statement by the sponsor – must be completed by the maid of honor and best man– one from each side. It must be a person who knows you. The citizenship of the maid of honor/best man is negligible. The maid of honor/best man must not be present at the marriage ceremony. The form is also available in English.
