When can a residential property be subject to capital value assessment as a holiday home?

If a property is unsuitable for year-round use, it can be subject to capital value assessment as a holiday home.It is sufficient for you to state/confirm that one or more of the following criteria are met:

  • no running water 
  • no mains electricity 
  • no built-in water closet 
  • year-round use of the property is prohibited. 

In addition, building-related circumstances and access may also be of significance to the capital value assessment.
