If you are a commuter, you might be entitled to tax deductions for your additional expenses for food, accommodation and travel to and from the commuter home.

The Tax Administration defines you as a commuter according to a series of conditions. These include that you must be a wage earner and spend the night away from home because of work. If you are a full time student or in the military, you are not defined as a commuter unless you have a summer job.
