The ratio between the FTE percentage and fixed salary is illogical
F529 / MAGNET_EDAG_529
Why am I receiving this error message
You have declared FTE percentage as 0 at the same time as the employee received a fixed salary. The combination FTE percentage 0 and fixed salary is illogical. Fixed salary requires active employment with an agreed-upon FTE percentage.
You may have received the error message because:
- you reported the wrong FTE percentage
- you used an incorrect income description
Do I have to correct the error
The submitted a-melding contains information that may be incorrect.
If it is incorrect, you must correct the error by the deadline for submitting the a-melding for the calendar month in which you received the error message.
Severity of the error: Guideline

How to correct the error
- Check if an employee actually should be reported with an FTE percentage of 0. If the FTE percentage is incorrect, state the correct FTE percentage for the employment in the next a-melding, or in the last a-melding where the employment relationship is reported.
- Check that the income description is correct. If, for example, the employee has an agreement for hourly wage, you must correct the description to hourly wage.
- Re-submit the a-melding when you have corrected the error. If you use a payroll system, check with your system supplier if you are not sure of how to make corrections in your system.
Example 1 - incorrect FTE percentage
A plumbing company submits the a-melding for February with information about Hilde’s employment relationship and salary. They report an FTE percentage of 0 and a fixed salary of NOK 20,000.
They get the error message MAGNET_EDAG-F529 because the FTE percentage of 0 has been reported in combination with fixed salary.
The company realises they have typed the wrong FTE percentage. Hilde has a 100 percent position.
The company corrects the FTE percentage to 100 percent in the next a‑melding (or in the last a‑melding where the employment relationship is reported) and re-submits the a-melding.
Example 2 - incorrect income description
A retail store company submits the a-melding for June with information about Ali’s employment relationship and salary. Ali works as on-call coverstaff and gets paid by the hour. (hourly wages). In June, Ali worked extra shifts and has earned NOK 6,500.
The employer has reported this as follows: Cash benefits- fixed salary: NOK 6,500, even if Ali does not have a permanent position and is reported with an FTE percentage of 0.
You get the error message MAGNET_EDAG-F529, because the combination of FTE percentage 0 + fixed salary indicates that the income description is incorrect.
Since Ali is on-call and gets paid for his actual working hours, the amount should have been reported as follows: Cash benefit-hourly wage, not fixed salary. This means that the amount is correct, but the benefit description is incorrect.
The employer submits a replacement a-melding for June, reporting NOK 6,500 as cash benefit - hourly wage instead as fixed salary. The amount is correct, but the description must be corrected. After that the a‑melding is re-submitted.
