Excise duties is a collective term for taxes and duties that are paid upon import, production or the sale of certain types of goods. Other types of business activities may also be subject to excise duties.

Excise duties are payable on, amongst others, alcohol, beverage packaging, electricity, fish production NOx emissions, lubricating oil, sugar, technical ethanol, tobacco and fuel.
