SMS survey regarding the guidance you receive by phone
Here you’ll find information about how to participate in the SMS survey, what’s it about, privacy, and why we’re conducting it.
The purpose of the survey
At the Tax Administration, we want to know how users experience guidance on the phone. This helps us take steps to improve the experience for callers to the Tax Administration's [HS1] guidance services. Therefore, a random selection of callers receives an SMS with the opportunity to answer a few questions about their user experience.
Responsibility for the survey
The Tax Administration is responsible for the personal data processed in the survey.
Participation is voluntary
Answering the survey is voluntary, and there are no negative consequences for not participating (/not responding to the SMS).
How and how long we will process your personal data
The SMS survey is carried out through our data controller Puzzel's system, Puzzel Customer Insight. The results of the survey are then converted into aggregated statistics (anonymised), which are stored and analysed on the Tax Administration's internal and closed servers.
Once the responses are anonymised, all other personal data collected in Puzzel Customer Insight (such as your phone number) is deleted, which can take up to 90 days.
The personal data we process
We process participants' phone numbers together with their survey answers. Some participants will be given the option to answer in a free text field. If it applies to you, you’re encouraged to only answer the question and not share personal data. Therefore, there will be a limit on the number of characters and what you can enter (for example, national identity numbers cannot be entered in the field). Any personal data will also be manually removed from the answers.
The results of the survey will not identify individuals.
Your rights and appeal options
As long as you can be identified in the data material, you have the right to request access to the data the Tax Administration processes about you, request that the data be corrected or deleted, and to object to the processing.
If you’re not satisfied with how the Tax Administration processes your personal data, or you believe that the processing violates privacy rules, you can appeal the processing to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (DPA). You can find information on how to appeal to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (DPA) on their website.
The Tax Administration's Data Protection Officer can be contacted for help.
