Third party data (basic data) – for end-user systems

Latest updates

Technical documentation

You’ll find technical documentation for third party data, information on how to test your system, and other useful tips here.

We’re migrating the reporting of third party data from Altinn to separate forms and API solutions. Read more about the migration of the Tax Administration’s services from Altinn to Skatteetaten.no.

As before, it will be possible to submit third party data directly via an end user system, or upload an XML file with third party data in a form. Both alternatives require system providers to adopt to the new solutions:

On our GitHub page, you’ll find information on how to start, and an overview of APIs for the submission of different third party data:

Please note that the information about the reestablished services is under development and is updated continuously. See which API's are available already.

Select this solution if you:

  1. prefer to upload information to a form as attachments (XML) for submission, or
  2. are not integrated with our APIs yet.

The format or design of file attachments is unchanged, but there’ll be a new way to submit the file. The Altinn form RF-1301 is discontinued and replaced by a new form.

Test the file format

We offer test submissions to those with a duty of disclosure and to other senders wishing to submit third party data as file attachments via Altinn. Read more about test submissions of third party data.

Operational status and planned changes

Here you will find information about the operational status of the Tax Administration’s and the National Population Register’s services. You can also subscribe to operational notices.
