Payment agreement for permanently transferred student loans
If you make no payments and do not apply for payment relief for three years, your loan may be permanently transferred to us. This means that we’ take over collection of the student loan, and that you only deal with us.
You'll lose your rights with Lånekassen
When we take over your student loan permanently, you'll lose all rights and benefits you had with Lånekassen. In addition, interest on overdue payments will start accruing on your full debt.
Paying in instalments
As a general rule, you must settle the claim within two years. Please note that interest on overdue payments will accrue until the claim is paid in full.
You can pay in instalments over a period of up to 24 months or a minimum of NOK 500 per month.
