Our services
Below you’ll find an overview of some of the areas where the Tax Administration offers integration options for external providers.
The a-melding is a monthly report to Nav, SSB, and the Tax Administration. It includes information about income, employment, withholding tax, employer’s national insurance contributions, and financial activity tax for the enterprise.
All Norwegian private and public limited liability companies and savings banks with equity certificates must submit an annual shareholder register statement to the Tax Administration’s Register of Shareholders. The Register records information about all events and transactions in the companies.

All enterprises registered in the Value Added Tax Register must submit the VAT return. If the VAT return has been completed correctly, it’ll show how much value added tax the enterprise must pay to the state, or how much the state must pay to the enterprise.
Employers must obtain tax deduction cards online. One way to obtain tax deduction cards is by connecting to the Tax Administration’s APIs via an end-user system.

Banks, insurance companies, housing companies, housing associations, child day care centres, volunteer organisations, and others submit third party data to the Tax Administration. This third party information is used, among other things, to pre-fill the tax return.

Meetings and activities
We provide information through various channels, such as information meetings, dialogue meetings, and seminars/courses.
Here you’ll find an overview of planned activities:
4 september: The tax return - joint meeting for end-user systems
23 October: The a-ordning scheme - information meeting
11 December: The a-ordning scheme - information meeting
Operational status and planned changes
You’ll find information about the operational status of the Tax Administration’s and the National Population Register’s services. You can also subscribe to operational notices.
On building services based on the Tax Administration’s APIs and systems
The Tax Administration offers several API interfaces that external system suppliers can integrate with to deliver services through users’ systems. An API is a structured way to transmit data from one location to another, from computer to computer.
We’re modernising a number of our services in connection with the modernisation of Altinn. Therefore, there will be a number of different solutions for using our services via an end-user system during a transition period.
