Expenses to toll and ferry between home and workplace

In order to get the expenses to toll refunded, you must daily save at least two hours by driving a car compared to using public transport. You shall not include queuing or rush hour.

The amount you can get approved is based on the cheapest toll passing, which means including possible discounts.

Expenses to ferry between home and workplace

If you choose to claim a deduction for the ferry ticket, you must subtract the ferry distance by clicking "Change distance" in the box "Distance to workplace" and change the number of kilometres.

Example:
If the distance between the home address and workplace is 800 kilometres round trip, and the distance the ferry travels is 50 kilometres round trip, the distance in the box "Distance to workplace" shall be 750 kilometres.

Keep receipts for tolls and/or ferries paid (subscription or single tickets) in case you must document the expenses to your tax office.
