Reduced withholding tax on share dividends for foreign shareholders

As a rule, Norwegian companies deduct 25 percent withholding tax on share dividends. If you're a foreign shareholder, you may still be entitled to a reduced withholding tax rate on dividends you receive.

  • Receive dividend payments with reduced withholding tax

To receive a reduced rate upon payment, you must provide supporting documents confirming that you or your company is entitled to it.
  • Refunds

When you've received dividends and are entitled to a reduced withholding tax rate, you can apply for a refund.
