Why am I receiving this error message
You have entered a date of birth that is invalid. Date of birth must give an age from 0 to 120 years.
This could for example be because you:
- entered the wrong date of birth
- have used a fictional date of birth
Do I have to correct the error
Yes, the a-melding contains serious errors and/or omissions which you must correct. The a-melding has been rejected.
You must correct the error by the deadline for submitting the a-melding for the calendar month in which you received the error message.

How to correct the error

Check the date of birth you have used and change it to the correct date of birth. Date of birth must give an age from 0 to 120 years.

After you have corrected the error, submit the a-melding. If you use a payroll system, check with your system supplier if you are not sure how to make corrections in your system
Example
A transport company submits an a-melding with the date of birth 1904-05-02 on an international identification – identifying information for Bruno.
They get the error message MAGNET_EDAG-509 because the date of birth in 1904 gives an age of more than 120 years. Date of birth must give an age from 0 to 120 years.
To correct the error, the transport company specifies Bruno's correct date of birth.
