Why am I receiving this error message 

You specified temporary lay-off for a month before 2026-01. Information about temporary lay-offs are to be stated as a type of leave of absence up to and including 2025-12. 

You may have received the error message because you have: 

• specified the wrong month for the a-melding 
• Specified a temoprary lay-off for a period before 2026-01

Do I have to correct the error 

Yes, the a-melding contains serious errors and/or omissions which you must correct. The a-melding has been rejected. 

You must correct the error by the deadline for submitting the a-melding for the calendar month in which you received the error message.

 How to correct the error 

1. Delete information concerning temporary lay-off as a separate element in the a-melding before 2026-01 or change the month that the a-melding concerns. 
   
   
2. Submit the a-melding when you have corrected the error. If you use a payroll system, check with your system supplier if you are not sure how to make corrections in your system.
