    Why am I receiving this error message

    You specified a period of leave of absence or layoff in the last month which you have not included in this month.

    You must repeat the leave of absence or layoff every month. Only once you have specified the end date for the leave of absence or layoff and the end date has passed should you stop repeating it.

    You may have received the error message because you have: 

    • forgotten to specify the leave of absence or layoff
    • forgotten to set an end date for a leave of absence or layoff period which has ended
    • specified two leave of absence or layoff periods during the previous month for an employee who actually only had one leave of absence or layoff period


    Note!

    You must specify a leave of absence or layoff period every month even if the employee has not received a salary or other benefits. Only once you have specified the end date for the leave of absence or layoff and the end date has passed should you stop repeating the leave of absence or layoff.

     

    Do I have to correct the error

    Yes, the a-melding contains errors and/or omissions which you must correct.

    You must correct the error by the deadline for submitting the a-melding for the calendar month in which you received the error message.

    How to correct the error

    1. Find the leave of absence or layoff that is missing from the a-melding. Concerns leave of absence or layoff for which you have not specified an end date.

    2. Specify a leave of absence or layoff period which has not ended or specify an end date for the leave of absence or layoff if the employee has left.

    3. Submit the a-melding when you have corrected the error. If you use a payroll system, check with your system supplier if you are not sure how to make corrections in your system.

     

    Example 1 Forgotten to specify the leave

    A painting firm submits an a-melding for February with information concerning Kari's leave of absence. The a-melding for March does not include the leave information for Kari.

    The firm receives error message MAGNET_EDAG-231 because information on Kari’s leave of absence is missing from the a-melding for March.

    The painting firm specifies the following information concerning Kari’s leave of absence: 
    Leave ID   10
    Description of leave Education leave (statutory)
    Leave start date 1 February
    Leave percentage  80

     It also enters other obligatory information.

    Example 2 Forgot to set an end date for leave of absence which has ended

    An engineering company submits an a-melding for February with information concerning Peter's leave. Peter’s leave of absence ended on 20 February, but the declarant forgot to submit an end date. The a-melding for March does not contain the leave information for Peter.

    The company receives error message MAGNET_EDAG-231 because information on Peter’s leave of absence is missing from the a-melding for March.

    The engineering company specifies the following information concerning Peter’s leave of absence: 
    Leave ID   20
    Description of leave   Parental leave
    Leave start date  1 February
    Leave percentage  80
    Leave end date   20 February

     It also enters other obligatory information.
