Why am I receiving this error message
You have specified a national identity number, here referred to as a national ID number, or a D number which does not exist in the National Registry.
This may be because you have:
- entered the wrong number
- used a national identity number that is not Norwegian
- used a fictitious number
Do I have to correct the error
Yes, the a-melding contains serious errors and/or omissions which you must correct. The a-melding has been rejected.
You must correct the error by the deadline for submitting the a-melding for the calendar month in which you received the error message.

How to correct the error
- Check the national identity number or D number you have used and correct the number.
- Submit the a-melding when you have corrected the error. If you use a payroll system, check with your system supplier if you are not sure how to make corrections in your system.
Example
A law firm submits an a-melding containing information about Fatima with national identity number 1010199900000. The firm receives error message MAGNET_EDAG-180D because 1010199900000 does not exist in the National Registry.
To correct the error, the firm specifies Fatima’s correct national identity number. | |

It also enters other obligatory information.
