Number of hours stated as hourly wage is over 300
F504/MAGNET_EDAG-504
Why am I receiving this error message
You have stated over 300 hours for the same calendar month. This is almost twice as many hours as that of a normal full-time position in an ordinary month (162.5 hours). You must state the number of hours that form the basis for the salary payment.
If you wish to state back payment of hours that are stated in a previous a-melding, you must set the number of hours to 0. If you are reporting hourly wage for the current month and back payment of hourly wage for previous months in the same a-melding, you should only enter the number of hours for the current month. The number of hours for back payment is reported earlier and should not be entered again.
You might have received the error message because you have
- reported hourly wages that are earned over several months together in one calendar month
- entered incorrect information
- reported the income as the number of hours
- entered the number of hours of back payment of hourly wages that you have already previously reported

How to correct the error
- Check if you have stated the correct number of hours of hourly wage and change if it is incorrect.
- After you have corrected the error, submit the a-melding. If you are using a payroll system, check with your system supplier if you are not sure how to make corrections in your system.
Example
A hair salon submits the a-melding for September with information about income for Jane who is paid an hourly wage. They state the number of hours as 800. They receive an error message MAGNET_EDAG-F503 because the number of hours is greater than 300.
The company realises they have entered the wrong number. Jane worked 80 hours in September.
They submit a new a-melding where they reduce the number of hours of hourly wage stated earlier.
The hair salon changes the number of hours for Jane to: | |
Hourly wage | 0 |
Number of hours | - 720 |
They also enter other mandatory information.
