Why am I receiving this error message?
You have entered an organisation number for a sub-entity which is not linked to a main entity in the Register of Legal Entities for the period that the a-melding concerns.
This may be because you have:
- entered an incorrect organisation number
Do I have to correct the error?
Yes, the a-melding contains errors and/or omissions which you must correct.
You must correct the error by the deadline for submitting the a-melding for the calendar month in which you received the error message.

How to correct the error
- Check the organisation number you entered and change it to a valid number. You must use an organisation number for a sub-entity which is linked to the main entity for which you are submitting the a-melding. You will find the organisation number concerned at www.brreg.no.
- Submit the a-melding when you have corrected the error. If you use a payroll system, check with your system supplier if you are not sure how to make corrections in your system.
Example
Sub-entity A submits an a-melding for August and receives error message MAGNET_EDAG-142 because the error message for the sub-entity is not linked to the main entity it entered. It entered an incorrect organisation number for the sub-entity.
