- made an error when entering information

Yes, the a-melding contains errors and/or omissions which you must correct.
You must correct the error by the deadline for submitting the a-melding for the calendar month in which you received the error message.

How to correct the error
- Find out which of the submitted a-meldings contains the wrong identifier for the income recipient.
- Enter the correct identifier (national identity number of D number).
- Submit the a-melding when you have corrected the error. If you use a payroll system, check with your system supplier if you are not sure how to make corrections in your system.
Example
An insurance company has submitted three a-meldings for the same period with information concerning Hans. The company receives error message MAGNET_EDAG-175D because the same international identifier is linked to two different D numbers.
A-melding number 1
Hans is identified using an international identifier, German passport number 123445. This is correct.
A-melding number 2
The insurance company links the D number to the international identifier for Hans. This is correct.
A-melding number 3
The insurance company links the international identifier for Hans to a D number which belongs to another income recipient. This is incorrect.
How it corrects the error
The insurance company makes changes and specifies the international identifier together with the correct D number for Hans.
