Order a tax deduction card without a payroll system

If you represent an organisation or a personal employer, you can order electronic tax deduction cards for employees without using a payroll system.

  • You'll have access to the tax deduction cards within 30 minutes in the "Inbox" in Altinn.
  • Organisations can obtain tax deduction cards for up to 10 employees at a time. If you have more employees, you can obtain tax deduction cards by making several orders.
  • If you're a personal employer and you're hiring private individuals to work in your home or holiday home, you can obtain tax deduction cards for up to 4 employees.
  • We'll notify you by SMS and/or e-mail when one of your employees amends their tax deduction card. If you select this option in the service, you'll  receive the tax deduction cards that have changed since your last enquiry.
You can use tax deduction cards for 2023 when you run the payroll in January 2024.

The scheme isn't synchronised with NAV's Aa Register

The electronic tax deduction card scheme isn't synchronised with NAV's Aa Register. Therefore registration or non-registration in the Aa register doesn't affect the availability of electronic tax deduction cards.
