Tax return for private individuals who have not received a pre-filled tax return
Here you'll find information on what to do if you have not received a pre-filled tax return.
We send the ordinary, pre-filled tax return to you before the end of March every year.
If you have an electronic ID , you’ll receive an email or SMS when your tax return is ready. You must check the tax return and make changes if anything is incorrect.
Specific information if you
have not received a pre-filled tax return, and you’re submitting the tax return on paper
All tax returns on paper were sent out by 4 April at the latest, but when you receive yours depends on postal delivery. If you’ve opted out of digital communication and not received a pre-filled tax return in the post by 16 April, you can:
Select the option that applies to you under “The tax return is for”. In the field “Requests advance tax assessment”, you must tick the box for “No”.
Sign and submit to:
Skatteetaten
Postboks 9200, Grønland
0134 Oslo
Norway
If you’re part of the PAYE scheme for foreign workers and you choose to submit this tax return, you’ll be removed from the PAYE scheme. You will then pay tax according to the ordinary tax rules.
You cannot go back to the PAYE scheme in this income year. This applies regardless of the reason you opt out of the scheme – even if you do so by mistake. At the turn of the year, you can choose to re-join the scheme.
