A bit about tax

A bit about tax, or “Litt om skatt” in Norwegian, is a course for those who are new in Norway – or for those who want to learn more about tax and working life.

The course is available in English and Norwegian (click on the flag at the top of the page) and takes approximately three to four hours. If you need an interpreter, you must allow more time.

Good luck!

Among other things you’ll learn

  • how Norway uses the collected taxes
  • about rights and obligations in working life
  • about tax deduction cards, tax returns and tax assessments

The course consists of 14 parts. In each part you’ll see a film and solve some tasks. We recommend that you start with part 1 and work your way through the whole course. You can also move directly to a specific part if you wish to continue where you stopped earlier.
