Many public authorities and private parties use information from the Aa Register when providing their services, such as NAV, the Tax Administration, the Labour Inspection Authority, municipalities, counties and financial bodies.

NAV, for example, uses information in the Aa Register when they
• process benefit applications
• pay and refund sickness benefit and parental benefits
• work to reduce sick leave
• work with prevention and detection of benefit fraud
• create statistics
