TRI and PER tax

Trichloroethylene (TRI) and tetrachloroethene (PER) are persistent chemicals that are harmful to both health and the environment.

The excise duty is abolished

The excise duty on trichloroethene (TRI) and tetrachloroethene (PER) is abolished as of 1 January 2024. The abolishment was decided in the Storting on 14 December 2023.

Please note that the excise tax return for December 2023 has a reporting deadline of 18 January 2024.
