New leave descriptions

In 2018, we are replacing the leave value with four new values.

These are the new values

  • Leave with parental benefit.
The period during which a mother or father receives parental benefit.

  • Leave in connection with military service.
Periods of mandatory or voluntary military service, as well as voluntary military service in forces organised by Norwegian authorities for participation in international peace operations.

  • Education leave.
Paid or unpaid leave in connection with education. Courses/training ordered by the employer must not be reported as leave.

  • Welfare leave.
All other types of leave that are not covered by the three types presented above must be reported as welfare leave.

What you have to do during the transition from 2017-2018

  1. Retain start date and ID, and change description (transitional arrangement).
This is the recommended solution for the transition from 2017 to 2018, and can only be used until a new business rule has been put into production.

  2. Conclude existing leave, and establish new leave with a new start date, ID and description.
This is a permanent solution, which must be used when a new business rule is put into production.

New business rule

We will also be introducing a new business rule (MAGNET) during the first quarter of 2018. This will check the replacement of the leave description.
