This calculator provides guidance and information about the deductions you are entitled to concerning travel between your commuter accommodation and your home address, and between your commuter accommodation and your workplace.

The calculator uses rates for last income year (2015), to help you fill in this years' tax return (2016).

You must enter your home address, the address to your commuter home and the workplace address. The calculation is based on information provided by you.

Because not all your tax circumstances have been assessed, you will not receive a binding reply from us, only an indication of what the travel deduction means for your tax. The information you provide will not be stored.

The final assessment of what you are entitled to with regard to deductions for travel will be carried out when your tax return is processed. You will receive a reply as to whether or not we have approved the deduction for travel in your tax settlement.

If you believe you are entitled to a travel deduction, you must write this in your tax return. Changes to tax returns may be made electronically or on paper.

The calculator uses maps from Google. You can read more about the use of cookies and analysis tools for web statistics here.
