Coronavirus - important information from the Tax Administration

The Tax Administration’s services will be affected by the coronavirus.

More tax offices opened on 2 june.

More offices opened from 2 june. Remember to book an appointment. For the time being, you can only book an appointment for ID controls to apply for a tax deduction card, report a move to Norway or paternity declarations.

If you are a foreign employee and you can visit us in Oslo, Stavanger, Bergen, Trondheim or Kirkenes,you can book your appointment at The Service Center for Foreign Workers (SUA).

ID controls and tax deduction cards for foreign workers

The ID controls at all offices that provide ID control will reopen from 2 june. You can book appointment at a SUA-office. You must book an appointment before you can go to an ID control. You can also book appointment at a tax ID office if there is no SUA office where you live.

This is what you have to do as an employer

Moving to Norway

If you intend to live in Norway for at least six months, or to stay here for at least six consecutive months, you must notify us that you’re moving to Norway. Usually, this requires that you physically go to a tax office within 8 days from the date you moved. 

Certificates requiring stamps and signatures

We have limited opportunity to issue certificates requiring stamps and signatures. This applies to birth certificateresidence certificateregistered informationparental responsibility and marriage certificate.

Please only order the certificate if it is strictly necessary. Unfortunately, we cannot provide an estimated delivery time.
